A Look back - April (And Blog-aversary!)

Well, my goal for April was to have 1 more outfit post than I did in March.  I didn't quite make it.  My total for March was 16, and my total for April is also 16. (Kind of.  I didn't ever actually post that bottom right outfit.  But I took photos of it!)  16 is still a good number, especially for a month that has 30 days.  That's over half the month!  I will still try to make 17 for May, though.

I didn't repeat much in my posts throughout April.  I even wore pants once!  Woah!  I think my favorite is the one with my horse print shirt.  I also love my super springy EBEW outfit, too.  Favorites are hard!

BTW!  I officially have passed my 1-year blog-aversary (that's clearly not a word).  I made my first ever outfit post on this blog April 29th 2011.  Awesome!  I've gotten much better since then.  It's kind of fun to see how I started and where I am now.  I feel like I should do something awesome and fun to celebrate.  Any ideas?

A Look Back - March

I haven't done a Look Back post in months!  This is the first time in a while that I feel like I posted enough outfits to actually do a Look Back.  16 this month!  Not too shabby, eh?  Here's to 17 in April.

I can't even pick favorites this month.  I really like everything I put together.  I wore my brown, crushed velvet dress twice, and my new coral sweater twice.

February Thrift Recap

Hey friends!  So, I don't know if you guys remember, but I said back in the beginning of the month that I was only going to buy used clothing items this month.  No traditional retail stores for this lady!  I did cheat a little bit, because HauteLook was having a mega-sale on Chinese Laundry shoes and I found a pair that I absolutely needed to have.  Yes, needed.  But that was the only time I cheated!   Anyway, here is what I got this month:

First, navy blue shift dress from Goodwill.  Unfortunately, I put this on when I got home and the zipper got stuck.  It should be fixable, it will just take a lot of work.  Hopefully I can save this dress!

Rose printed sweater, from Ragstock.  I was walking by the store front one evening, on my way to Avenue Q, and I saw this sweater on a mannequin in the window.  I literally did a double-take and walked inside to get it.  I love it.

Banana Republic striped long sleeve-tee, from Goodwill.  

Chunky purple sweater, from Lincoln Goodwill.  The first photo is truer color.

The Limited gray sparkle v-neck sweater, from Lincoln consignment shop.  If you look closely at the second photo, you can see a little shimmer in the fabric.  It's super cute!

Gap hot pink cardigan, from Lincoln consignment shop.  

Vintage black dress, from Ruby Begonias vintage store in Lincoln.  I absolutely love this dress and have been wearing it a ton since I got it.  I shortened it by about 7 inches.

Belts!  My favorite thing to thrift.  First two from Goodwill in Lincoln, last one is from Duluth Goodwill.
