EBEW: Strawberry Street

It's that time again, friends!  Time for the Everybody Everywear challenge!  I so look forward to these every month.  I end up styling things (like these pants) that I would never have thought to even try.  Very creatively inspiring.

Short post today because I'm going to watch my friend Carrie's kids while she gets some work done.  I feel a little bit like a preschool teacher in these pants, so I think that's appropriate.

I had a little bit of a hard time styling these.  It's definitely my first time wearing any kind of bright colored pants.  I cheated a little bit and looked at what some of the other EBEW participants were wearing before I put this together.  I love this striped sweater that I thrifted a while ago, but haven't worn yet.  I think it looks great with these bright pink pants and I'm very happy with how this turned out.

I did have a heck of a time finding pink pants, though.  These are from the juniors department at JCPenney.  I'm a little embarrassed to admit I shopped in the Juniors department, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.  In order to find pink pants.

Pants :: City Streets (via JCPenney) // Sweater :: Target (thrifted) // Shoes :: Target (thrifted) // Bracelet :: Mix.It (viz JCPenney) // Rings :: Charlotte Russe // Earrings :: Thrifted

I hoped everyone has a wonderful day!

  1. Great pairing with the red pants! I have a sweater very similar to this and never thought to put it with my red pants! Your hair is awesome too :)

  2. Totally cute with the stripes--that's my default for my red pants, too!

  3. I don't think it's cheating to sneak a peek at other people's styles...that's just what EBEW is for! I think the way you chose to style it looks great.
Thanks for joining us at EBEW!

  5. I agree - you styled them great! I like the gray stripes with the bright pink (then again, I chose pink pants today too). I also love your hair. I'm growing mine out but you're making me have doubts.

  6. It's funny how well gray seems to work with bright pants--this looks fantastic! Plus, 3/4 sleeves are just so cool...I have to go dig some out of my cool-weather boxes. (Well, sweaters and shirts with 3/4 sleeves. Just the sleeves themselves would be a little weird.)
