If you follow my twitter at all (or if we're facebook friends) you'll know that I had a bit of a dilemma regarding this skirt. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally crazy about it, but is it court room appropriate? I decided to go with "yes" and wear it yesterday. I think I successfully made it appropriate by adding neutral pieces, and covering up well.
I completely love this skirt. I bought it in Modcloth's Last Hurrah sale on a little bit of a whim. It's super soft and comfy, and it has POCKETS! That right there is a dealmaker. I love Modcloth and I love that their Last Hurrah sale is right near my birthday every year. Happy birthday to me!
True story: I'm actually wearing about a zillion layers in these photos. This skirt is a little bit sheer, so I need to wear a second skirt under it. However, the only other maxi skirt I have is not actually a skirt, but a dress. So I'm wearing a maxi dress under this whole outfit. It's a little impressive, if I do say so myself.
Today is absolutely beautiful. Jason and I went up to St. Scholastica so he could take some photos of the campus for a project he's working on. Well, we drove all the way up to the pretty little hill with gravestones on it, and he realized he had forgotten his memory card! So we skipped the photos, and we just walked around a while, looked at epitaphs, and laid in the grass. It was very nice.
