I made this dress today. Or, finished this dress today. I screwed up so many times that it took me twice as long as it should have. It's super comfortable and I don't ever want to take it off. The pattern is Burda 7376. Really simple, but that's what I was looking for. Something I could throw together in a day (although, with all the fixing I had to do, it actually took me two days).
I've been getting back into sewing again recently. I went to school for fashion design for a year and decided it wasn't for me, but sewing has always been a passion of mine. Maybe someday I'll turn it into something, but for now it's just fun.
The wrap I'm wearing is from a small boutique in Camden, Maine and I got it for my cousin's wedding. My mom and I spent hours driving around Rockland and Camden looking for a sweater in this color, or something similar, and had no luck at all. I was on the verge of tears from frustration when we found this little store hidden away in Camden. This wrap is almost exactly what I was picturing in my head all day and I finally found it. It's more pricey than I would normally spend, but my mom was nice enough to purchase it for me.
I don't know what it is about this photo, but I really love it.
