EBEW: Kiss You Off

Today is yellow day!  What a great day in Duluth to wear yellow.  It's so nice out today.  I feel like the past few days have been a little bit too hot, but today is pretty comfortable.

I've decided that for future Everybody Everywear challenges I should plan my outfit the night before.  I spent way too long deciding which yellow item(s) to wear, and how to style them.  I originally had on this vintage yellow pencil skirt that I've never worn, but I just can't seem to make it work.  I also tried a different yellow scarf and a couple of yellow belts, none of which worked out.  I settled on these shoes because I am absolutely in love with them, and this dress that I got yesterday.

These are my puppies (though my dad would disagree).  The little one is Bitsy Bean and she is a Toy Poodle, the other is Marco and he's a big ol' mutt.  Some kind of mix of Rottweiler, German Shepherd, and some other stuff.  They are very sweet and helped greatly with the photo taking.

I just picked this scarf up today while my mom and I were out shopping.  I love the colors and it's super soft. Plus it was majorly on sale, so that's always nice!  I like the scarf anyway, but I was really motivated to get it for today's yellow challenge.  I think it pairs nicely with the shoes and I really enjoy the print mixing with the dress.

I'm not sure if you can tell, but I continued the yellow theme with my eye makeup.  The top lid is lined in yellow and the bottom is lined in purple.  Aren't I coordinated? I used my Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow Box.

Dress :: Decree // Scarf :: Coldwater Creek // Shoes :: Target // Belt :: Charlotte Russe // Bracelet :: Charlotte Russe // Necklace :: Borrowed from Mom // Earrings :: Thrifted (also borrowed from Mom)

I'm off to our first preview performance of Into The Woods!  I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

  2. When I first saw the scarf with the dress I thought "huh?". The more I saw it the more I thought LOVE it (that's Love, love, love it). They actually blend really nicely the purple, the yellow/brown. Also, I like the metal tones in the necklace and earrings. Hmmmmmm

  3. I like how you mixed patterns. The color palette works so nicely together too. And the shoes are great! You have some nice four-legged assistants ;)

  4. Yeah, the yellow pencil skirt is pretty great. I'll have to try and actually put something together with it soon!

I really like the pattern mixing, too! Thanks! I love the purple and the yellow together. But maybe that's just because I grew up in Minnesota among endless amounts of Vikings paraphernalia.
