EBEW: Sing You Sinners

In case you hadn't heard, today is thifting day on Everybody Everywear.  It's a new thing they just started today, and I'm really excited to be a part of the very first one.

I love thirfting.  A lot.  My favorite thing to thrift is jewelry, with belts in a close second.  I love that I can go into Goodwill or Savers (or wherever!) and come out with 5x as many items as I would in a traditional retail store.  Amazing!  So you can probably imagine how excited I was when I heard about this EBEW: Thrift Edition.  You can also probably imagine that I decided to put on as many thrifted items as I could without looking like a walking Goodwill.

I scored this incredible dress from the 80's at Value-Thrift a couple of years ago.  It is probably my all-time favorite thrifted item.  It fits like a glove and I didn't even try it on in the store.  I also didn't pay more than $5 for it.  Awesome!  It has a really neat quilted texture, and the bodice is beautifully constructed. It is in really wonderful condition.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

  4. I submit that there is NOTHING wrong with looking like a walking Goodwill.

That said, this outfit is amaaaaa-zing! That dress looks like it was made for you. I think if I had something like that, it would basically never leave my body. (Except I would probably start to stink pretty quickly in this heat, and that's gross. So I rescind the content of my declaration but not the sentiment.)

Anyway, the whole look is super classy. I agree with Megan Mae, your hair is great, too.

(I found your blog via EBEW, and just wanted to tell you that I think you're neat!)
